BlackBerry users continue to wonder when, if ever, their service could be halted because of the ongoing patent battle between BlackBerry's maker Research In Motion (RIM) and NTP.
In 2002, a jury found in favor of NTP, claiming that RIM willfully infringed on patents owned by NTP. Still, four years later, the two companies are struggling to resolve the matter. Today, the judge in the current NTP vs. RIM trial criticized RIM for failing to reach a settlement with NTP. You can find an update here.
