Rambus wins Patent Suit

According to News.com, memory manufacturer Rambus won a patent infringement suit against Hynix Semiconductor, awarding over $306 million in damages to Rambus.

The case is expected to trigger more settlements and lawsuits as the memory technologies in question - DDR, DDR2 and SDRAM - are widely used in many of the PCs and servers sold in recent years.
