Virtual Politicians?

Aug 31, 2006

The GamePolitics blog reports that former Virgina Governor Mark Warner, a possible 2008 Democratic presidential candidate, is "appearing" at 3:30pm ET today in Second Life, a popular 3D virtual world.

Gov. Warner, or rather his avatar, will participate in a brief interview and will announce the "first-ever virtual-world town hall on American politics later this fall." He'll also launch a Second Life group for his political action committee. Is this a sign of things to come?

Here's a press release from Warner's office with more details.
