Op-Ed By Rep. Lofgren Blasts Congress' Lack of Action

Oct 31, 2006

Cisco's High Tech Policy Blog links to an op-ed by Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) that appeared in the Mercury News on Monday in which Rep. Lofgren (whose district includes a large part of  Silicon Valley's San Jose) criticizes the 109th Congress for failing to pass laws that she feels would benefit the tech sector and American innovation. In particular, she mentions patent reform and extension of the R&D tax credit.

The issue isn't whether or not you (or we) agree with Rep. Lofgren's editorial, but rather that she raises the question: how has the 109th Congress been supportive of tech?
