techPresident Grades Candidates
Nov 21, 2007
Earlier this year, the team at techPresident (a blog that tracks how candidates use the Web) challenged presidential candidates from both parties to adopt a series of six policy proposals that includes mandating net neutrality, committing to universal broadband, and creating a national tech corps of IT workers.
They're now following up by grading how well the candidates have responded to that challenge. Starting with the eight Democratic contenders, techPresident released its first report card yesterday.
Who received high marks for their "tech President" worthiness? Sen. Barack Obama and former Sen. John Edwards led the pack with grades of A-, while Sen. Joe Biden received a B and Sen. Hillary Clinton a B-. It went downhill from there.
