AllThingsD.com's Kara Swisher has broken the news that YouTube pulled the plug on a viral video called "Here Comes the Bubble." The parody, which we added to the Media Vault last week, featured a San Francisco vocal group known as The Richter Scales making fun of Silicon Valley's unwillingness to admit to another tech bubble.
The group wrote their own lyrics to Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire." Close to 700,000 people had already viewed the video in about a week's time, and it seems like at least one of those viewers sent YouTube a takedown notice.
Disclosure: I know, and like, Kara Swisher. I work with her on the WSJ's D conference, and she'll be a session host at Tech Policy Summit in March. She doesn't play any role in this site though.
