TechCrunch Names Its Candidates

Jan 29, 2008

TechCrunch founder Michael Arrington has gone from interviewing presidential candidates to endorsing them, announcing earlier today that TechCrunch is backing Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. John McCain. In naming Sen. McCain as his top pick among the Republicans, Arrington broke from his readers who had overwhelmingly voted for Rep. Ron Paul in the online "primary" TechCrunch hosted.

Regardless of who TechCrunch, or Michael Arrington, supports in the presidential race, we're glad to see one of the most widely read techie blogs discussing the candidates' views on technology.

UPDATE: TechCrunch posted the transcript of an interview with Rep. Ron Paul, who spoke about his views on net neutrality, the 700 MHz auction and other tech policy topics.
