Facebook Gets New Policy VP, From Google

May 5, 2008

It's not unusual for execs to jump from one Silicon Valley company to another in search of a new challenge. Which is why we don't usually write about such moves. But this breaking news by AllThingsD.com's Kara Swisher caught our eye.

As Kara puts it, the "Googlefication of Facebook continues" with the news that Google's vice president of global communications and public affairs Elliot Schrage will be joining Facebook as the new VP of communications and public policy. Not that long ago, Sheryl Sandberg left the search company to become Facebook's COO; Mr. Schrage will now be part of her team at the social networking startup.
