Headed to Facebook

Jan 6, 2009

We will be at Facebook's offices in Palo Alto today for Privacy 2009: The Year Ahead, a lunch salon that we're co-hosting with Facebook. The company's chief privacy officer Chris Kelly is a member of the 2009 advisory board for Tech Policy Summit, and he and his team have done a wonderful job of helping us plan today's event to give folks in Silicon Valley a chance to hear more about what's likely to happen in D.C. in the months ahead.

Along with Chris Kelly, the roundtable will include Kara Swisher of AllThingsD, Jim Dempsey of the Center for Democracy & Technology and Chris Hoofnagle of the Berkeley Center for Law & Technology*.

We'll be recording the discussion and will post it online later in the week. If you want to be notified via email once it's available, please contact us to add your name to the Tech Policy Central mailing list.

You can also follow us on Twitter.

In the interim, here's an article by Wiley Rein partner Kirk Nahra, who shares his thoughts on what's ahead for privacy and security in 2009.

*Anne Toth of Yahoo! was scheduled to speak as well but is unable to make it.
